Produce Eye Catching Graphics
Produce eye catching graphics that pop off the shelf and standout from the competition! Whether you're marketing at a local craft show, fair, or on the shelf in a big box store, you must catch the eye of your consumer. Research suggests that you have less than 5 seconds to do so. How? Call us and we'll help. Our graphic designers understand prevailing market trends as well as classical design. They've worked for the largest retail and CPG firms around.
Know Your End-use Applications
Will your customers encounter wet or moist conditions? Will your package be susceptible to abrasion or scuffing? Is your product a cream or lubricant that may interfere with label adhesion? Storing your finished goods in a freezer? Contents have high alcohol or acidic content? There is a dizzying array of considerations to take into account when designing. We'll help you navigate the endless possibilities and find the best fit for your application.
Eco-Friendly, Green & Sustainable
We do all we can to find and use the most environmentally friendly products and vendor partners. That being said, we'll work closely with you to optimize your package for overall sustainability. Using less of everything is our goal, period: energy, materials, transportation, and handling. We have several customers where we handle everything: manufacturing, filling, warehousing and order fulfillment of their finished goods. Everything is done to lower consumption, reduce touches, and ultimately, "USE LESS". Sure, you save money in the process, but nature and future generations save much more than that!
Design Process
Yes, design is a process - one that requires time and focus. We work tirelessly to help you achieve the desired outcome: grow your business and net income. After all, that's why you're in the business. Bring your own artwork and we can quickly process your order - think two to three weeks. Work with our design team and it will certainly take more time. Our graphic artists work with many of our 50,000 customers and may be juggling many decorating tasks at once. Please be patient. Most importantly, let us know if you are crunched for time and we will do our very best to expedite the process.
Decoration Options
Labeling: Endless sizes, shapes, styles, and color treatments are available. Both standard and custom dies are available. Special fees are passed along for custom dies, foil printing, and coatings that protect the label.
Silk Screening: Ink is forced through a photographically treated screen onto the container or cap, one color at a time. One screen is needed per color, so screen costs and setup fees are a consideration in lower volumes. Ink types vary from UV curable to epoxy based - each providing unique attributes to serve your finished goods. Silk screening requires flat surfaces with enough room for securing screens.
Pad Printing: Pad printing offers an alternative to screen printing for irregularly shaped containers. Inks are applied to the container or cap using a pliable silicone pad in a straight, pressing movement; so, the design can be placed on virtually any flat, round, smooth or textured surface. Like silk screening, colors are applied one at a time. Pad printing may be utilized on plastic, glass, or metal surfaces. Again, this is the ideal decorating option for irregularly shaped items.
Offset Printing: Offset printing is a direct surface technique that can process all colors necessary in one pass. Offset printing utilizes plates to transfer images to the container rather than screens (as is the case in silk screening). Each plate is individually engraved for every color used; the ink is then transferred to a rubber "blanket". Blankets are attached to a rotating wheel, and each blanket contains one color. Whereas in screen printing a separate pass is required for each color, in offset printing, the entire process is done in a single pass. Offset printing is best-suited to round containers - buckets, tubes, cans, etc.
Lithographic and "In-Mold" Printing: Other printing technologies exist, but require very large volumes to produce cost-effective packaging. "In-Mold" labeling is one of the most exciting technologies to emerge in container decorating in the past 20 years. Today, technology allows for tubs, bucket, and other containers to be labeled during the injection molding process. This approach yields eye-popping graphics that are amazingly durable and water resistant.
