Jars have indented channels in their sides, making them easy to grab and handle. Each jar includes an unlined red polypropylene spice cap. I really like the shape of these jars. The grip handles make it easy for shaking spices out. I would have given it 5 stars except for the 9 oz. size. We prefer using the 9 oz., but on many occasions have received jars that are a little defective looking (ie. dented). Not to mention the grade of plastic feels thinner than the larger sizes.
